This page explains how Free-Utils handles information when you use the site. File tools run in your browser. We aim to collect only what the product needs.

Files

A file you open in a converter, a compressor, the PDF editor, or the photo editor stays on your device. It is not uploaded to Free-Utils, and it is not stored on a server. You keep the rights to your files. We do not open or review them, because they never leave your browser through these tools.

Visits

The site may count a page view so we can see which tools people open. That count is about the page, not the contents of your file. We use visit data to understand what is useful and what needs work.

Suggestions

If you send a suggestion, the message is delivered so it can be read. An email address is included only when you type one. We use that information to respond or to improve the tools. We do not sell suggestion messages.

Speed test

The speed test measures download, upload, ping, and jitter from the browser you are using. It needs network requests to run the test. It does not ask you to create an account, and it does not upload personal files.

Cookies and similar technology

The site may use cookies or similar storage so the product can work, remember a preference such as theme or language, or count visits. Browser tools that process files do not need to send those files to a server in order to run.

We may share information with service providers that help host the site, deliver a suggestion, count visits, or catch errors. We share only what those jobs require. We may also share information when the law requires it, or when we need to protect Free-Utils or the people who use it.

How long we keep information

Visit counts are kept only as long as they help us run the product. Suggestion messages are kept long enough to read and act on them. Because file tools do not upload your files, those files are not retained on Free-Utils servers.

Your choices

You can stop using the site at any time. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser. If you sent a suggestion with an email address and want it removed, contact us through the suggestion form and say so.
